It has been said that 80% of people hate their jobs. So what are the other 20% doing? Also, 20% of people do 80% of the work. 20% of the world is said to be right with God by christian perspectives. Rather ironic don’t you think that 80 & 20 come up quite frequently.
80% of people hate their jobs because more than likely they either aren’t doing the work God has for them or they are trying to find fulfillment in their work apart from God, making it an idol. The remaining 20% have found true fulfillment out of their work out of their relationship with God or they chose to “settle”. The latter isn’t good because it leads to repressed emotions which lead to depression and other mental illnesses.
The 20% that do most of the work are the ones who have all the motivation because the other 80% are unmotivated; either because they are living defeated lives because they have been beat down and burned by society or they are confused and don’t know what they want out of life. This group is also likely to suffer from repressed emotions which contribute to the rise of mental illnesses today. In proverbs it says the desires of the heart will kill the simple. (E’s paraphrase). It’s good to live simple, unless you are doing it because you don’t any get up and go (which comes from being either fully spirit-filled or fully replying upon yourself).
As far as 20% of the world being right with God-how do we know this? Because we are doing what man does and assuming that a person is right or not right with God by what they do. A person who appears to be doing God’s will may be self-reliant and the person who appears to be living in sin maybe just be struggling but may be more in love with God than the “righteous” person.
Either way, true fulfillment comes from finding purpose in your life which flows from a vibrant relationship with your Creator. People with no zest for life are deemed “losers” by society and can’t be in fellowship with God because God calls you to make a difference for His Kingdom. The first two words in Gospel are “Go.” You think Jesus is the most influential man who ever lived because He just sat around “waiting upon the Lord” and “resting in His work.”

The Games People Play
Ever feel like this life is nothing but a chess game and we’re all just pawns? It seems like everything we get involved in, you have to play games and deal with politics to get what you want. This is probably part of the curse of sin that is on the world till Jesus comes back. Work would not be as difficult if it were not for the games we have to play and the politics we have to deal with.
We’ll start with college; college recruiters entice you to take out up to $50 or $60K, telling them you owe it to yourself to finish school and it’s an investment in your future and how you can make that much a year when you graduate. Of course when you get disillusioned, depressed, and suicidal, the recruiter is living off his commission, in his quarter of a million dollar house and driving his rolls royce.
Then when you graduate and you owe twice as much as you are making when you realize there aren’t that many jobs out there and that most of the jobs are actually scams to either make six figures working part-time or to get you back in college and disillusion you with grad school, the mental health system takes over when you get depressed to the point of suicide by telling you that you need “lifelong” medications because you are mentally ill. Over half of all Americans are mentally ill, some self-medicate of drugs, alcohol, and sex, others are too full of themselves and not that sensitive or they learned how to manipulate the system to get what they want.
Work is the biggest game. Telling you you need an education to get a good job when all you need is to spend a few dollars in late fees in the library and buy a frappe at Barnes & Noble and sit and read books on how to get the job you want. If you learn how to sell youself (not that way-get your mind out of the gutter) and self-educate yourself you can acheive just as much as a college graduate. You may have to work harder but you’ll be more original-and less brainwashed. You can bust your butt for years and not get anywhere if you don’t “play the game”.
It’s the satanic world system that forces you to play the game that makes life stressful. Stress affects your brain chemistry as well as your hormones and makes you more prone to sickness and disease. The best way to take care of yourself is to put God first and live simple and don’t get involved in the rat race. You will likely be labeled as a white trash redneck, but as Comedian Jeff Foxworthy once said-”redheck just means ‘glorified simplicity’”.
Not to discourage you from pursuing excellence. You should strive to be the best at everything you do and not just “settle”. You still have to put forth effort for the things worth pursuing in life but rather than play the game, just trust God. His divine favor could open doors not otherwise opened.
The Mental Health System is another blog in and of itself. Prepare for some expletives that I will blot out. I’m quite expressive and any anger I feel nowadays is a righteous anger at seeing people get taken advantage of by the system which in the long run will destroy your life and keep you from experiencing God’s best.
Our Universal High Calling
Jesus said He was sent here by His Father to build His Church. Many denominations and religious sects claim to be the establishment of the one true church. Because many of them take a verse here and there out of context they usually refer to each other as cults. I learned from a Catholic priest online that to understand God’s salvation you have to be intuitive and see the big picture. That is, you have to study the Bible as a whole or you won’t understand God’s plan for redemption. Consequently you will take verses out of context and create division which is what hinders the work of the Church. The One True Church will be established when Jesus comes back and is being built up now thru vaious worship styles that make up the Church. The main job of the church is to make disciples and baptize. Our job is to make disciples, meaning students of Jesus Christ, by teaching them His Truth. If they receive it by the grace and mercy of God then God is the one who baptizes them with His Holy Spirit. From that point they have to persevere in faith by living it out daily thru repentance, getting into a good bible-teaching church, getting water baptized as a public profession of faith, and seeking the daily baptism of the Holy Spirit by letting go of whatever strongholds are in the believer’s life. Evangelism should flow naturally so there shouldn’t be any need for “evangelism training”. This is typically just a way to get the church to do it their way and it winds up being not led by the Spirit. If one is spirit-filled it will flow naturally. The church only meets to worship corporately and to edify each other and lift up each other’s burdens and praises. In doing so they can win the respect of outsiders and draw more people into the Kingdom. The job of the Great Commission is in the hands of the Church and when the majority of the world is reached may signify the 2nd coming of Jesus. To counter the christians that are just sitting around “waiting for the Lord”, I say get out and get busy because He’s waiting on you.
Finishing the work our Jewish Boss gave us to do
Jesus finished the work of redemptiom but this by no means makes us unaccountable to the Law of God. If sin is the transgression of the Law, we are called to live according to it-but with a changed heart out love and devotion to our Creator for all He’s done for us. The secret to happiness is to give up and let go but give it to the One true God who is the Great I Am not the one you want Him to be to suit your sins whether you know Him or not. Many christians live in bondage because they focus on their limitations. Your limitations keep you dependent on God but in Christ you have no limitations. Are you just sitting around “waiting for the Lord?” Well, quit and get out there and get busy! But don’t be pushy or condemning which we all have a tendency to do. Seek first the kingdom of God and all else will be added. God will provide your needs (and the only thing you need is Him-He doesn’t promise anything else) and possibly most of your wants depending on how close you are to Him (that’s for Him to gauge-it’s arrogant and condemning to go around bragging how close you are to God). No true servant will be this haughty. Even Jesus didn’t claim His equality with God something to be used to His advantage (Phillipians 2:5-11 NIV). And if He didn’t why are we so arrogant and haughty in our “walk”. If you strive to be known as “godly” or a man of God you are elevating yourself and still in bondage. Focus on the vertical relationship, known as resting in Him, and He can use you to pour thru others subconsciously without even trying. Teach the Word and you automatically make disciples to all who receive it. Evangelism training programs just teach you the church way of reaching lost sinners. Focus on your own walk and it will naturally flow and you will fulfill the Law of God by your love for Him and others. But don’t neglect to honor your own temple by taking care of it. This could lead to codependency issues which is more bondage. Jesus died to free us so why do we still live in bondage? If every true believer/worshipper receives the daily baptism of the Holy Spirit the church will be unified and reach more sinners, especially if they pray for the Israelites, or Jews, to receive their Messiah. The world would have a better impact, Satan may get bound up and overthrown, Jesus would take over the world system known as the Antichrist, judge those that don’t trust Him (His enemies) and reward His followers. A day with the Lord is as a thousand years so the millenial reign may refer to judgement day. The next day-the New Heaven New Earth where Jesus hands the kingdom over to His Father.
Created to be dependent, independence, and interdependence
The great Apostle Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 4 that we should work hard so as to win the respect of outsiders. We shouldn’t be dependent on anyone or anything other than God. We were given an independent nature by God (which also resulted in our downfall since we use our freedom to our own destruction by feeding our fleshly appetites) and we are called to work hard. Our calling in life as humans is to take care of the earth, which is why it’s in the shape that it’s in-because God put man (who strives to live independently of Him) in charge of the earth; Apart from God, man won’t do a very good job of this, resulting in the curse of sin on the earth. No matter how hard we work we won’t experience true success apart from knowing we are in our divine calling and in the center of God’s will. Each day we set before us a blessing or a curse-that is to trust in God’s plan or to trust in our own. We were created to be free but apart from a this relationship with our Creator, we are slaves to sin until we accept His sacrifice and forgiveness on our behalf. Then we have the freedom to choose God’s ways or our sinful ways. If we choose the latter then that’s an area of our heart God needs to work on thru regeneration of the Holy Spirit. If we persist in our sinful ways, then we renounce our faith in God and fall under His judgement again. God is good to those who trust Him but if you choose to sin (not trust in Him regardless of how good you try to be on your own) then He will have to judge you. It’s the same with your parents. Choose the wrong path and you have to be punished. I don’t know if hell is a literal lake of fire but it is a place of weeping and gnashing of teeth-filled with eternal regret for not following God with Satan and his minions tormenting you for that choice. It’s also darkness because the light of God isn’t there. Anyway, we were created to be dependent on our Father yet to live independently by taking care of our own needs by managing the resources that God has allotted to each of us. We were also created to be interdependent on each other; Like the first church in the book of Acts. If we have resources that someone else needs then we are called to be self-sacrificing like Jesus and offer that. I believe it was James, the half-brother of Jesus, who said that if we know to do good and don’t then it is the essence of sin. That is because we are focused on ourselves.

Labor Day Comes Late Followed by a Sabbath Rest
Sorry, I’m a little late. Time flies when you’re laboring away. Studies have shown that 80% of people hate their work. The 20% that do love their work usually have “dream” jobs such as radio/tv announcers, writers, etc. Somewhere around 6000 years ago, or more, G-d put man (Adam) in the garden and told him to till the land and cultivate it. Then one day, him and his wife, Eve, ate of the forbidden fruit. While Eve was cursed with the bearing of children, her husband was cursed in his work. He would have to work hard all the days of his life. Each generation after them are likewise under this curse. Any “job” that tells you how much money you can make doing the least amount of work possible is a scam and likely a MLM scheme. In fact, if you go to a search engine, you’ll like see thousands of jobs. However, most of them are college recruiters trying to manipulate people into thinking they owe it to themselves to go to college. Trust me, most of them don’t give a flip about your education; Just their bottom line and quotas. Although I did have one recruiter from Ashford U. online literally ask me if I needed to go to college. Now that’s an honest recruiter! Anyway, where was I; Oh, the rest of them are mostly MLM’s, leaving you maybe 100 real jobs; Most of them you may be overqualified for or uneducated. Finding a job is sales. Selling yourself. You have to chase down leads just to close a few deals. However actually working isn’t all that stressful in and of itself. It’s the B.S. and politics you have to deal with from higher-ups. In a faster paced society and a 40 hour work week, upper management doesn’t want to pay OT so they impose nearly impossible quota for their team to reach. While the honest one scrimps and scrapes to make ends meet, he may be frustrated seeing a colleague “making it”. However what he doesn’t know is his colleague may be going about it by unethical means and sheer manipulation. That would be the curse of sin. The manipulators get ahead while unethical means while the ones who truly work hard feel like losers in this world. There’s actually a song about Jesus loving one of us losers. Enough about work, now for the good part; The sabbath. If I don’t have this backwards, I believe Jesus said the sabbath was made for man and not man for the sabbath. The wabbath, or shabat, wasn’t just some law for us to obey. G-d rested after creation, so why do we think we’re too good for a day of rest. G-d worked hard in creation (even though all He did was speak) and as a carpenter for 20 or 30 years, and those of us that don’t like to work are unyielded to our Creator in that area. We are commanded to take a break and just focus on our Creator and rest from our work. Even though He cursed the work of our hands because of our sins, He still gave us a day to rest and focus on Him (whether it’s Saturday or Sunday). Our work is only cursed because we, especially men, tend to identify ourselves and find fulfillment in our work. For more information on where your real identity lies, read “Victory over the Darkness” by Neil Anderson. This book changed my life a couple months ago. Now I just have to pick up the pieces from my life before. That’s another story entirely.
Blessings & Peace from G-d our Father and the L-rd Yeshua Mashiach

Without Vision My People Perish. . .,
A quote from the wisdom of Solomon found in the Ancient book of Proverbs. Read a Twitter post saying people are afraid to follow their dreams because they feel they don’t deserve them. Of course there’s also those that they too highly of themselves too. Some people don’t follow their dreams because they’re afraid of failure. Once heard Southern Baptist preacher, Bob Jeffras, say “if you want to succeed-be prepared to fail.” It’s part of the curse of the world that our sin has inflicted upon us. Our work is cursed. A salesman once told me that you can make a decent living in sales closing a few deals with generous incomes. But to get those few deals you have to chase down hundreds of leads in a month and it can get very frustrating and can even lead to depression and anxiety. God allowed this to happen so we wouldn’t be tempted to find fulfillment in the creation rather than in Him. He gave us all things to enjoy (as long as it doesn’t go against His Word) but our ultimate fulfillment has to be found in Him and seeking first His Kingdom and His righteousness. Many true worshippers are steal in bondage to their limitations and feel trapped in their jobs and such when they have dreams to pursue bigger things. You will never find fulfillment in your work apart from a covenant relationship with your Creator through repentance & faith unless you are using the gifts & talents He gave you to further the Gospel message of His Kingdom. And you will always have stress & adversity to counter any success you experience. This is your thorn in the flesh-the unmet need you have in your life that keeps you dependent on the One you were made for. In order to serve God fully you have to tap into your dreams & visions for your life and set long-term goals (under the Spirit’s direction) yet live in faith one day at a time. You also have to tap into the power of God by receiving the Baptism of the Holy Spirit by daily immersing yourself into Him. Hungering & thirsting after God. Feast on the Bread of Life in daily communion and drink from the Well of Living Water. Then step out in faith in response to the Grace of God in accordance with whatever Vision He’s given you.
Go in peace,
E
